Please join us for the 6th Annual Hurricane Region Lighthouse Cruise, November 13th-15th as we visit Currituck, Manteo, and Edenton, NC.
This year our headquarters will be the Clarion Hotel in Kill Devil Hills, NC. The action begins with registration at the motel late Friday afternoon followed by dinner at the Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant in Kitty Hawk.
Saturday we will drive to Currituck, visit the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Whalehead Club, then drive to Wanchese for lunch at Fisherman’s Warf. Then it’s just a short hop over to Manteo, the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse and Roanoke Island Festival Park where we will visit the Elizabeth II, a composite design of a 16th Century ship similar to those used by Sir Walter Raleigh to bring the first settlers to Roanoke Island in 1587.. Sunday morning we will visit Bodie Island Lighthouse, a perennial Lighthouse Cruise favorite, then cross Albemarle Sound winding up in Edenton, NC where we will visit the Barker House, the 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse and enjoy a box lunch on the Edenton waterfront before heading home.
Registration for this year’s cruise will open in July and close September 15th. We are limited to at total of 50 people and reservations go fast. REGISTRATION
Registration fee is $120 per person and includes Dinner, tax and gratuity Friday night, lunch on Saturday, a box lunch on Sunday and all tours. We have reserved 25 rooms at the Clarion Hotel of Kill Devil Hills under the Hurricane Region, Porsche Club of America. Please call them at 252-441-6333 to make your reservation Room charges are not included in the registration fee. Reservations must be made no later than September 15, 2009.
