Remember...

It's not just the cars, it's the people.

This is the time of year when we all gather for a Big Bash. Dress up in your finery, put on your Penguin Suit if you have one, but regardless of what you wear, come, catch up with new and old friends whom you haven't seen since the last event, and meet new people in our region.

Wilmington is an interesting, historic town. In addition to the planned festivities and options, there are many things to do and see in the area, such as checking out the highly-touted and oft-recommended Battleship North Carolina in Wilmington or North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher in nearby Kure Beach. There are also house tours, listed below.

Saturday January 17

• Activities in and around Wilmington TBD
• Cash Bar at 6:00PM in the Lobby at the Landfall Hampton Inn
• Catered Dinner/Party at 7:00PM in the Turnberry Room, Landfall Hampton Inn

Sunday January 18
• Breakfast at the Landfall Hampton Inn at 8:00AM
• Drive around country roads leaving Landfall Hampton Inn at 9:00AM

Buffet dinner catered by Port City Chop House with both prime rib and salmon, along with all the goodies we had last time there. If you have special dietary needs, contact David Iklé as soon as possible.

Rooms:

$89.00 plus 13% in taxes for a double or king room for the night of January 17. Make reservations directly with the hotel at 910-256-9600. The "Porsche Club of America" group rate will be held through January 3. For those who are members of AARP, your online AARP rate will be even lower than the PCA one!
