The main event of the North Carolina Azalea Festival is the Azalea Parade through downtown Wilmington, This year it will be bigger and better than ever, with more than 200 entries and 400,000 spectators expected, in addition to the live television audience.

The PCA entry always gets a lot of attention, and we expect this entry to be our largest ever, with as many different Porsche models as possible in our 20-car entry. We’re lining up sponsors now and they’ll be announced before the Parade.

We’ll meet at Circuit City (directions on the Calendar page) for the short drive to the staging area, then appear early in the parade and follow the 1.5-mile route downtown.

Afterward, we’ll take a drive through the coastal countryside, ending back at David Iklé’s home for lunch. It should be a great day for rag tops and families. Registration is open and closes the March 31 so that David Iklé can make the lunch arrangements.
