| The Story behind Spot and His Birthday |
||||
by Tom Roos, Spot's Dad It all started in Weisbaden Germany, back on November 28, 1963. That's when a US soldier picked up a new Signal Red 1964 356 SC Coupe. He brought it back home to California where it was fastidiously kept for 36 years or so and eventually ended up in my garage. That is the short story of why around the 4th Saturday of every November we celebrate Spot's birthday. The car was named "Spot" by my wife for something it does to the garage floor, but that's a story for another day. In lieu of any gifts to Spot, I suggest a donation to your favorite Porsche mechanic. Most of you seem to be doing this on a somewhat regular basis as it is. | ||||
